1001 junction hwy highway 27 near downtown, 830 895 5000, (http://www.innofthehills....). about the only place for dancing. they play primarily country music, but mix in some pop and hip-hop as the night progresses. the crowd here includes mostly middle-aged folks, and may be too loud and crowded for some tourists.
Nautilus Beach Bar
2126 sidney baker st i-10 at highway 16, 830 895 2920, (http://www.nautilusbeachb...). a late-starting, fun-loving bar popular with the younger crowd. tends to be a little too rowdy for older folks as the night progresses, but it is one of the few places to find a primarily twenty-something crowd.
Ol'Watering Hole
1109 broadway at a street near downtown, 830 257 4653. a hole-in-the-wall dive bar that is a lot of fun. the bartenders are friendly and very helpful, while the place is a little crowded on busy nights. they have great music many nights, and you will find a very mixed crowd.
Contrary to popular beliefs, there are many popular watering holes in and around town.
